01 / Player development

Before the next opportunity,
ask the right questions.

What does this step offer your development? Who is responsible for your welfare? What are the costs, commitments, and expectations? A pathway conversation should consider education and life beyond football as well as the sporting opportunity.

Keep an accurate player profile, seek clear written terms, and involve a parent or guardian where appropriate. The quality of a decision matters more than the promise of a quick move.

02 / Football intelligence

A scouting dossier should
show how it reached a view.

A useful assessment starts with the playing role and team context. It identifies the matches observed, the evidence available, and the questions that remain unanswered.

Separate observed actions from projections about development. Metrics and video can support a judgement, but their coverage and context should be clear in the report.

03 / Sustainable football

Start with the training ground.

A useful sustainability plan begins with the football activity and the resources it needs. For a training facility, that means asking about energy, water, travel, equipment, waste, accessibility, and who maintains the site.

Establish a baseline and choose priorities with the people using the facility. Compare improvement options by their lifetime costs, environmental effects, and practical requirements. Give each action an owner and measure progress against the goals agreed at the start.

UEFA’s circular economy guidance covers equipment, event materials, food and drink, energy, and water. Its resource library includes infrastructure and reporting guidance. These are reference materials for planning and measuring progress.

04 / Football education

Start with the source.

IFAB Laws of the Game cover how football is played. FIFA regulations cover different areas of football governance, including football agents. Learning should keep that distinction clear and refer to the current official materials.

Our examination preparation platform combines structured study, practice questions, and source materials to help you apply football regulations with confidence.
